When you receive your Visa Check Card, you will need to call the (800)# listed to activate the card.
Your PIN number will arrive via a separate mailing. Do not write your PIN # on your card. Memorize it and do not carry it with you.
You are allowed 4 ATM transactions per month at no charge from Century CU. For each transaction in excess of 4 per month, you will be charged $1.
If you believe your card has been lost or stolen or that someone may transfer money from your account without your permission, call the credit union immdeiately at
(828) 326-8512. If it is not within our normal business hours (M-F 9-5), call 1 800-453-4270.
Fraud and identity theft can be reported to the credit bureaus at:

When you use your check card, the transaction places an immediate hold on funds in your checking account. There is no "float" time.

When you make a purchase (grocery store, department store, etc):

- Swipe your card
- Press "credit"
- Sign a receipt
- Can't get cash back

When you purchase gas:

- Swipe your card
- Press "credit"
- You may be required to go inside to sign the receipt

At the ATM (for a cash withdrawal):

- Swipe your card
- ATM will ask Deposit, withdrawal or credit card transaction
- Press "credit card". If it doesn't ask credit card, press "withdrawal"
- Proceed my prompts
- Cash advances are limited to $200 (if available in your account)
- Try to use State Employees ATM machines. They do not charge a fee. Other financial institutions charge $1+
